North Indian regions are the best spot for passion, rest and Himalayan rejuvenation. It is also a gateway to the adventurous world. The Himalayan valleys and mountain stations are not only summer retreats, they are also places of adventure. They have become a campsite with ample space for adventure. Dynamic hills with fresh air and raging rivers and stunning scenery will thrill you every step of your Himalayan camping trips. Various camping options exist in various parts of the state in the Himalayas. Campers can transport their own equipment or choose one of the various camps located in different parts of the state. Various camping programmes, including accommodation, catering and a range of activities, including walks, fishing, nature tours and rafting, offer impressive services. Most of these offer quality facilities and services for a more interesting and interesting camping tour.
Below are my best camping destination list in Himalayas.
Zanskar Valley
Zanskar Valley in the area of Ladakh is an excellent holiday destination with its beautiful snow-covered peaks. The valley is one of Ladakh’s most remote and less populated valleys. A stay in the Zanskar valley can be an daunting experience, often experienced by walkers and river rafters.
The Ladakh holidays can be combined with visits to a number of old and beautiful Buddhist monasteries (“Hemis,” “Rangdum,” “Thiksey”) and to some of the highest mountain passes in the world (“Khardung La”, “Zojila La,” “Chang la”). The lakes of glacier sparkling (“Pangong Tso” and “Tsomoriri”), are sparkling.
Pangot
India’s rich flora and fauna are renowned throughout the world. Situated just 15 km from the lakeside town, Nainital, Pangot is one such beautiful settlement in the State of Uttarakhand. It’s like walking through Pangot into a remote Himalayan village. This paradise for bird watchers consists of over 250 bird species, as recorded by the Jungle Lore Birding Lodge. Thick Oak, Pine and Rhododendron overlook the forests of Pangot and the surrounding areas. The rivers that pass through the area make it even more attractive. Summers and snow-capped hills in winter draw tourists from all over the world because of their fun and relaxing nature.Pangot is an excellent location even for honeymooners, as a peaceful and relaxing location. It’s an unbelievable place to watch birds, adventure, camping and treking.
Khirsu
Khirsu is situated at 1700 meters above sea level, at a hill station in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand district. It is 11 kilometers from Pauri north, and 92 kilometers from the town of Dehradun west. The scenic background of Khirsu is well known. You can see magnificent views of the Himalayas from this hill station for a total of 300 kilometers including the snow-created trishul peaks, Nanda Devi, Nandakot peaks and Panchchuli peaks. This position takes you back to your true self introspection. Leaving the modern life behind, the social life is like a pure slough, immersing yourself completely in the peaceful surroundings.
Chaukori
Chaukori is a sleepy, peaceful hamlet in the Kumaon hills of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand located at an altitude of 2010 m, Chaukori is dreamed of the towns of Nana Devi and Panchchchuli with its breathtaking views over dense forests and the towering Himalayan summits 173 km from Nainital. Chaukori is one of the few places to find tea gardens in Kumaon. It’s like a bowl, cupped inside the Himalayan heartland, as the name suggests. It is an idyllic destination between unpolluted nature – a land of natural abundance, fruit orchards and pine, oak, and rhododendron forests. The beautiful sunrise and sunset that you experience is one of the most spectacular facets of the tourist holiday in Chaukori.
Nubra Valley
The amazing ‘Nubra Valley’ at a distance of 150 km is another great choice for a wonderful holiday in Ladakh region. From Leh. From Leh. A stay in the Nubra Valley is a unique experience, surrounded by harsh, arid mountains and wounded with immense natural beauty. In Nubra Valley, you will find dry and rough mountains, as opposed to other mountainous areas that beam with greenery. This is India’s only mountain region with sand dunes. One of the most amazing encounters of his life is a sand dune safari riding on the back of the Bactrian camels.
Mashobra
Mashobra, situated in the Himachal Pradesh District of Shimla, has misty hills, pine trees, oak trees, cedar and deodar trees, apple orchards and a picturesque stream flowing through the valley, enabling tourists to interact with the lush, cool atmosphere and relax. Behind the Himalayas, Mashobra is renowned for being one of the leading offbeat destinations to be visited. The slumbery hamlet in Mashobra is a must-visit for planning a tour to Himashal Pradesh, surrounded by thick coniferous forests. Snow-capping Western Himalayan slopes act as a perfect boundary to a land that is charmingly shrouded by nebula all year long. You must pass twisting roads through the clearest water streams to a country with all the ingredients to enjoy the dream holidays you always have desired.
Chopta Valley
In Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand is situated Chopta Valley in a picturesque hamlet with beautiful views of the ‘Trishul,’ ‘Nanda Devi,’ ‘Neelkanth,’ ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chaukhamba’ peaks in the Himalayans. The Chopta Valley is now intact and retains its natural beauty, regardless of its total remoteness. This place offers an exquisite picturesque beauty with dense forests of pine, deodar and rhododendrons. This small village still unfathomed by visitors is mainly visited by walkers or pilgrims. This beautiful Chopta valley is crossed by the famous Deoria valley and the Chandrashila treks in Uttarakhand. In this beautiful place is also the Tungnath Temple, one of the Panch Kedar temples.
Spiti Valley
Spiti valley is one of India’s least populated regions, and is surrounded by high mountain regions in Himachal Pradesh, north-eastern part. Many still do not know this land of Buddhist mysticism until now. Extreme weather, rough terrain and an extremely remote environment remove them from the conventional tourist map. With only a small number of towns scattered through the valley, old monasteries with floating flags of prayer and Buddhist monks, you can spend a peaceful holiday here, cut off from all parts of the world. Spiti is the gateway to several popular excursions, such as Pin-Parvati, Pin-Bhaba and Parang-La.
‘Kaza’ is the Spiti Valley ‘s main logistical centre. You can pick for a camping choices in the nearby villages of ‘Kibber,’ ‘Kommic,’ ‘Demul’ or ‘Dhankar,’ for a more rural experience, alluring views and captivating nature views. Camping and staying here will also give you a chance to get acquainted with the local people and learn about their hospitality, way of life, cultures and traditions.
Hopefully, this list helps you to plan your next camping trip which is really different from traditional holidays. Please write to us via this blog if you have any concerns, ideas or remarks.
