The captivating peak of Churdhar at 3,647 meters is one one of the highest peak in Sirmaur. Churdhar , known colloquially as the Snow Coenwe , is blessed be some of the region,s mot beautiful and spectacular landscapes. The peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath in the Garhwal area, towards the North. Offer an immense view of lowland stretches and snowcapped areas. One can visit the magnificent monal, the State bird Himachal along with the Koklass and Kaleej pheasants, walking through the wildlife shirine. In the lower part of the summit the Deodar-roofes single storied square temples of Srigul with lingam, dedizing to Shiva is inhabited by the High Forests. During the Navratras Fair in this ancient site , the pilgrims sang and danced in the night. The trekkers walked through smaller glaciers to the wind powered Churdhar top, which had medium to heavy snowfall. The temple of Srigul is always burried beneath it. It is a beautiful view from the rainbow coming up on the horizon after a storm.

The Jalori Pass is a high mountain pass situated in the Kullu district of Himavhal Pradesh, at an altitude of 3,120 meters. Rakcham is a charming village situated about 23 Km from the last Indian village on the front the Tibetan border in Himachal Pradesh, Chitkul. In the majestic Baspa valley on the River Baspa , an important tributary of the Sutlej , the beautiful little hamlet is situated. Throughout the year the region is covered by dense vegetation. Through this tiny hamlet one can also observe the serene snow covered peak at Kinnaur Kailasha mountains on the botton of the Kinnaur district. The villages romoteness is a very special feature. There is not as many villages in the area as there are people , so it is isolated from the rest of the world.
